The annual Cambridge Memory Meeting (CAMM) took place this year at the Department of Psychology on May 9th, drawing in memory researchers from across departments and disciplines.
Professor Emily Holmes (Uppsala University) opened the event with a keynote on intrusive memories, sharing clinical and experimental insights into trauma and its treatment.

The day continued with talks from early career researchers (ECRs), covering a wide range of topics—from the development of episodic memory in children, to memory deficits in individuals at genetic risk for Alzheimer’s, to explorations of neural mechanisms such as synaptic plasticity and theta synchrony.
This year’s ECR speakers were: Millie Preece, Dr Riccardo Sacripante, Sumaiyah Raza, Fatih Serin, Xuelin Wang, Sara Rashid, Adam Triabhall, Helena Gellersen, Jeffery Pendleton, and Tommy McConnell.
CAMM 2025 was organised by Professor Deborah Talmi and Tommy McConnell, with ECR talks chaired by Dr Golan Karvat, Dr Andrea Greve, and Dr Kshipra Gurunandan.
